At Liberty University, the first step to earning a bachelor’s degree is to apply online or call our admissions counselors at (800) 424-9595 to discuss your goals. After you begin your program, you will review your Degree Completion Plan Audit through our Course Registration tool.

Our New Enrollment Specialists are here to help you register for your first set of courses. After you begin your courses, you can contact Academic Advising to speak with an experienced advisor who is standing by to assist you. Whether you want to discuss course scheduling or pray with an academic advisor, our advisors are standing by and ready to help!
Step 3:
You’re finally ready to dive into your coursework! We offer most of our courses in an online, 8-week format. This way, you can further your education while staying connected with your church, family, and community. Earning your college degree online will involve discussion boards and weekly assignments in your online courses. In addition, experienced faculty who have advanced degrees in their field will teach your courses, and many of our professors who teach online also teach residentially.

How long does it take to earn a bachelor’s degree?
The amount of time it takes to complete a bachelor’s degree varies based on the program. Many of our bachelor’s degrees are around 120 credit hours, though this may vary.
In addition, Liberty is able to review transfer credits to see how or if they can apply to your degree program. We designed our online degree programs so that you can take courses in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters and earn your degree as quickly as possible.
Can I get a bachelor’s degree online?
Yes! At Liberty University, we offer 100+ online bachelor’s programs so that you can pursue a degree that fits your interests and goals. With programs ranging from IT degrees, business, and history to mathematics, religion, and more, you can find an online undergraduate degree that meets your needs.
As an online student, you’ll receive the same high-quality education as our residential students, but with the added flexibility of completing coursework on your schedule. Most of our degrees are 100% online with no required visits to our residential campus in Lynchburg, Va. Some degrees do have on-campus intensives and/or practicums, internships, field experiences, or related requirements that can be completed at an approved location near you, giving you a chance to put your skills to the test.

Do diplomas for online degrees say “online”?
No, your diploma will not specify whether your degree was earned online or residentially. Your diploma will simply say “Liberty University” and contain the signatures of current officeholders, including the president and the provost. If you’re an online student, the online provost’s signature may appear on your diploma.
What degrees can I get online?
