Biography

Dr. Phillips began her life in ministry to Christ at the age of seven, where she first took the gifts up during mass at Our Lady of Angels Convent/The Assisi House in Aston, Pennsylvania.  She would find herself back on those same grounds decades later studying for and earning her doctoral degree.  Inspired by Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American Saint, and having come from a family of educators, she has dedicated her life and career to serving God’s people in various ways.  Her research interests include the intersection of faith and neurodiversity and best safety practices for counseling clinicians.  She holds certifications in defensive shooting and is a member of the Poetry Society of Virginia, the International OCD Foundation, the American Counseling Association, and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
