Biography

Dr. Crystal Hatton is an assistant professor in the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies at Liberty University. Prior to becoming a full-time counselor educator, she was a professional school counselor for 13 years. During her time as a school counselor, Dr. Hatton served as a clinical faculty member for The College of William and Mary where she consistently trained and supervised school counseling practicum and internship students. She also served as an adjunct professor at Old Dominion University and Arkansas State University. Her professional interests include legal and ethical issues in school counseling, clinical supervision for school counselors, social justice and advocacy, and virtual school counseling. Dr. Hatton is passionate about meeting the needs of underserved populations. She is excited to share her knowledge to educate and inspire future and current counselors.
