Biography
Dr. Pincus is a former school counselor and active advocate for the profession at the school, district, and legislative levels as the president of the Sunshine State School Counseling Association, a division of the Florida Counseling Association. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Florida School Counselors Association as the Vice Chairman and Chair of the Advocacy Committee. He has presented at several conferences on school counselor advocacy, school counselors as mental health professionals, trauma, ethics, and school counselors using motivational interviewing with students. He is active in school counselor research.
