Biography
Teresa Phillips-Harris received her Ph.D. from Liberty University in Counselor Education and Supervision and her Masters in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ohio University. She has over a decade of experience as a licensed school counselor, private practice clinician, and residential treatment substance abuse counselor.
Dr. Phillips-Harris currently serves as an Assistant Professor for the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies, where she teachers in both the School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs. In addition, she maintains a small clinical practice and currently serves as the Chi Sigma Iota: Rho Eta Nu Gamma, Chapter President.
Professionally, Dr. Phillips-Harris enjoys attending and presenting at conferences, collaborating on research projects, mentoring, and training new counselors. Her current research interests include moral injury, trauma, shame, and self-forgiveness.
