Biography
Dr. Logan McCarthy currently serves as a core faculty member for the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies at Liberty University. Dr. McCarthy has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) since 2015 and specialized in treating children and adolescents in individual outpatient, home-and-community based, and school-based individual and group counseling services prior to becoming a core faculty member at Liberty University. Areas of research interest for Dr. McCarthy are counseling children and adolescents, trauma exposure and reaction in youth, play throughout the lifespan, online learning, rural community counseling, technology usage and youth, and college and career choice. Dr. McCarthy currently serves as an Executive Board Member of the Maine Mental Health Counseling Association. Dr. McCarthy is a professional member of the American Counseling Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, Association of Counselor Education and Supervision, Maine Mental Health Counseling Association, and Maine Counseling Association.
