Biography
Dr. Shannon Warden is an Associate Professor of Counseling in the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies. Additionally, she is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and supervisor in North Carolina, where she has served as a professional counselor in churches, private practice, and community mental health settings for more than 20 years. Along with her passion for counseling, she has been a counselor educator and supervisor since 2009 and equally enjoys encouraging and equipping new counselors for success in the counseling profession. Dr. Warden’s enthusiasm for encouraging and teaching people is also evident in her writing and speaking (www.shannonwarden.com). Among her various writing accomplishments, she has co-authored books with Dr. Gary Chapman, NY Times Bestselling author of The Five Love Languages. Dr. Warden is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
