She carried that leadership style into her master’s studies where she served as president of her local Chi Sigma Iota chapter, student liaison to Kentucky Counseling Association, and as a “Super Graduate Assistant” in which she taught undergraduate courses as faculty on record, engaged in research and scholarship with her professors, and began to engage in professional organizations through presentations and leadership. She has continued to serve in leadership positions at NASAP, including her work as a Sections Co-chair, member of the Board of Directors as Section’s liaison, Newsletter Editor, Member of the Election’s committee, and current Chair of the Student Task Force. She has presented at local, national and international levels. Dr. Sneed’s research interests include religion/spirituality, military family issues, holistic approaches to healing, and Adlerian theory/practice.

Personal touch – Her husband is a chaplain in the Air Force; therefore, she claims a nomadic lifestyle. She has lived in Kentucky, Kansas, Texas (2 cities), Washington D.C., and South Korea. She is planning for her new home in Germany by the summer of 2023. As a military spouse, Dr. Sneed has a passion for students and clients impacted by a military lifestyle. She is always looking for new ways to support military members and families, bringing Adlerian encouragement and the love of Christ into their situations. Currently, Dr. Sneed is developing and hosting Family Connect – a place for lonely military spouses in South Korea to feel a sense of belonging and community to combat the symptoms of isolation. Her hobbies include travel, continuing education regarding health and wellness, cooking, hiking in God’s beautiful creation, and spending time with her family. She has 2 children, ages 11 and 8, who attend Abeka Academy virtual learning (she is a homeschool mom). Lastly, and most importantly, she is a Child of God who wishes to positively impact the lives of all those with whom she comes in contact.
