What is creationeering?

Our School of Engineering is focused on “creationeering,” which is the integration of engineering and business. We believe in preparing students to use their God-given talents and gifts to innovate processes, create new products, and foster resources to provide companies and organizations with experienced and talented engineers. Our MEng program focuses on integrating engineering and management so that you are able to effectively lead teams to accomplish tasks.

Our Master of Science in Engineering (Thesis) track is designed to help you approach engineering tasks from a project management schema, develop project management traits that are associated with engineering, foster materials and resources to accomplish goals, and focus on total quality management (TQM) techniques that help equip you for success in the field. 

As you write your thesis, you may be considering doctoral studies. Our program is designed with further graduate study in mind. The academic excellence and rigor that is required as you pursue your MEng degree can help prepare you as you consider a doctoral program.

As you pursue our MEng (Thesis), you may decide that you want to pursue Liberty’s PhD in Engineering, which can provide lucrative and exciting career opportunities.

M.S. in Engineering (Non-Thesis)

Our Master of Science in Engineering (Non-Thesis) track focuses on the importance of total quality management and other engineering management techniques. The importance of project management-minded individuals to help synthesize products based on engineering economy, resource availability, and other factors continue to be an important trait. 

As you focus on integrating management techniques in your engineering ventures, our non-thesis track allows you to coordinate with your committee to choose a course of study that aligns closely with what you would like to learn. This flexibility allows you to focus on what is important to you so that you can be more prepared to succeed wherever you go.

Admission Requirements for Engineering Graduate Degrees

Every application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and all applicants must submit the following documents and meet the minimum requirements for admission:

  • Admission application
  • Official bachelor’s degree transcripts showing a completed engineering or STEM-related degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Self-certification form for students in the final term of their bachelor’s degree
  • Current Liberty undergraduate students seeking preliminary acceptance into a graduate program must complete a degree completion application through their ASIST account
