What Will You Learn in Our Flight Concentrated Aviation Administration Degree?

The flight concentration in our aviation administration degree provides extra credentials by allowing you to pursue your private pilot certificate. In order to do so, you will take four courses in private flight and ground training under our trained faculty. These courses will prepare you with all the aviation basics and simulated trainings required by the FAA for your certification.

Aside from the flight portion, the major classes in this degree train you in business, financial, management, and marketing principles vital to your ability to lead in the aviation industry. Your courses will provide a well-rounded examination of business law and aviation management.

Featured Courses

AVIA 210 – Private Ground I

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • This course is the first of two courses that develop the student’s aeronautical knowledge required for certification as a private pilot with an airplane single engine land rating.
  • The course covers basic aviation terms and concepts, basic aerodynamics, aircraft systems, and FAA publications.

AVIA 220 – Private Flight I

This course is the first of two sequential flight-training courses that include the requisite aircraft and simulator training and experience required for the FAA Private Pilot practical test.

AVIA 225 – Private Flight II

This course is the second of two sequential flight-training courses that include the requisite aircraft and simulator training and experience required for the FAA Private Pilot practical test.

  • Results from the CLT, SAT, or ACT are not required for admission, but may be used in consideration for merit-based aid.
