Experience Liberty University

Important update: For the safety of all our students and guests, our November 2020 CFAW will be held under modified conditions. These conditions are designed to give you all the excitement of life at Liberty while protecting your personal well-being. Look for Liberty’s increased CFAW health and safety modifications wherever you see “November CFAW 2020.”

Choosing a college is a big decision — one that you won’t make without doing your research, talking to people you trust, and visiting the campuses you’re considering. Many schools fit their university experience into a short presentation, tour, and Q&A.

While short-and-sweet campus tours are convenient, do you really want to commit the next 4 years of your life after just a 4-hour visit (or less)?

At Liberty University’s College For A Weekend, you can spend 4 days test-driving life as an LU student, exploring our more than 7,000-acre campus, and getting all your college questions answered. You’re anything but a typical student, so CFAW is anything but a typical college tour. Design your perfect college visit at Liberty University. Endless possibilities — all in one place.

Make the Most of Your College Search

Important update: For the safety of all our students and guests, our November 2020 CFAW will be held under modified conditions. These conditions are designed to give you all the excitement of life at Liberty while protecting your personal well-being. Look for Liberty’s increased CFAW health and safety modifications wherever you see “November CFAW 2020.”

The countdown to college has begun. You’ve spent years investing in the life of your child, and this is their first big decision. They’re smart, independent, and capable, but family time is becoming more precious, and the college search is a journey you want to take together.

At Liberty University, we understand. Helping your son or daughter decide what to do with 4 years and their future is a big commitment. It’s an investment that deserves more than what a typical 4-hour college tour can provide. So College For A Weekend is more than a typical college tour. It’s a 4-day immersive event.

Parent Message from Shannon Bream, Fox News Reporter

Local Accommodations and Dining

You can find more information on local hotels and area attractions in our planning guide.

For detailed dining information, check out our dining options available during CFAW. This includes special pricing for parents.

What else should you know before arriving?

  • Registration is for parents, too! While it doesn’t cost anything, your RSVP helps us accommodate everyone joining us for CFAW. When you register for the event as a parent, you can also register your student at the same time. Or your student can give us a headcount of family members attending CFAW with them when they register. Either way, your registration means both of you will receive your weekend itineraries when you check in on campus.
  • Our current students are excited to host your student in their dorm room, but please keep in mind that they may not be able to join your student on every adventure while they are here for CFAW. While they’re excited to be your student’s roommate for the weekend, many of our students are employed, have homework, or life situations that might require them to step away from their room. But don’t worry – there are plenty of activities planned to give your student the full Liberty experience. Check out our schedule and events pages for more information.
  • Students attending CFAW must have their CFAW Guest Flames Pass at all times. A Flames Pass gives your student entrance to their dorm, the dining hall, and Convocation. In order to attend Convocation as a guest, the Liberty University Police Department requires a state-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, for admittance. Students under the age of 18 who are not attending CFAW do not need an ID to attend Convocation.

Look for Liberty’s increased CFAW health and safety modifications wherever you see “November CFAW 2020.”

College is an important decision, and your students are beginning the process of choosing their future school. If they’re coming to you for advice, rather than simply answering their questions, why not give them a real-life college student experience — at a school you can trust?

When you bring a group to Liberty University’s CFAW as a youth leader, church leader, school leader, or parent, you’ll be introducing them to a place where they can build on the spiritual foundation you’ve laid. They’ll get an immersive Christian college student experience and discover what life at Liberty will be like.

CFAW Groups Page
