What Can You Do At CFAW?
CFAW is your exclusive chance to dive headfirst into the Liberty student experience. At CFAW, there’s always something fun to do — immerse yourself in an electrifying lineup of concerts, athletic events, and much more. Check out our highlight video for a sneak peek into the CFAW experience!

Arriving to Campus
From the moment you arrive on campus, we make every effort to ensure you feel welcome as you navigate our breathtaking campus. Your arrival is more than just a start — it’s your launchpad into an unforgettable, immersive weekend. Below are several key steps to help you get your weekend started:
- Parking — We have designated parking locations for CFAW students. These locations are the Runk & Pratt Garage and the Academic Commons Garage. For more details on these locations, follow the CFAW parking signs placed around campus or refer to the Parking Map.
- Check-In — After you’ve parked, follow the CFAW signage to help navigate your way to check-in, where you will receive your Guest Flames Pass. Your Flames Pass will be your ticket to meals, events, and other important resources throughout the weekend.
- Thursday Events — Once you’ve checked in to CFAW, you can attend the Thursday events below to help you get familiar with Liberty and meet other CFAW students.

Getting to Know Liberty
This event is designed to help you connect with a variety of resources to support you during your time at Liberty, including academic departments, the Office of Spiritual Development, and the Student Life Offices.

CFAW Kickoff
Our CFAW Kickoff event will give you the opportunity to meet other CFAW students while also enjoying fun activities such as nine square, basketball, painting, cornhole, and much more!

Parent Connect
While you are having fun exploring campus, your parents can enjoy our Parent Connect event. This event gives parents an opportunity to network with other CFAW parents and enjoy some much-needed coffee, snacks, and music.
Friday Events

Convocation
Liberty University brings industry leaders in ministry, business, athletics, politics, and more to the Convocation stage each week. As a CFAW guest, you can participate in student-led worship and hear from an influential speaker leading the way in their field.

Attend Academic Classes
Throughout the day on Friday, you will be given the unique opportunity to sit in on a variety of classes, immersing yourself in captivating subjects and exploring your interests. We encourage you to take this time to connect with the many schools and colleges that host different events such as open houses, information sessions, tours, simulations, and more — all designed to help you find your future calling!

- Funding Your Future — Learn about scholarships, grants, loans, and navigating the Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA) from the experts!
- Your Support Team — Hear about Tutoring Services, Academic Peer Mentoring, the Writing Center, and other offices, like our Spiritual Development team, that are designed to help you succeed both at Liberty and in life.

- President’s Parent Session — Parents get the chance to hear a special welcome from President Dondi Costin.
- Parent Breakout Sessions — Parents will have the opportunity to hear from departments like Campus Safety, Housing, Dining, the College of Applied Studies and Academic Success (CASAS), and the Office of Disability Accommodation Support (ODAS).

Attend Athletic Events
Join current students in cheering on the Liberty Flames by attending in-season sporting events during your CFAW visit. During Fall CFAW, don’t miss the excitement of NCAA football and hockey. In the spring, catch the action with basketball and baseball games throughout the weekend. For more information about sports year round, visit our Liberty Flames page.
See a Concert
Join other CFAW students on Friday night for an on-campus concert experience at the Vines Center. Our February CFAW concert guest will be Josiah Queen ft. Claire Leslie (Friday, February 21, 2025, at 8:00 p.m.). Our April CFAW concert guest will be Colony House ft. Fox Royale
(Friday, April 4, 2025, at 8:00 p.m.).
Late-Night Games
After a busy day of exploring campus and enjoying classes, join other CFAW students for a variety of fun games.
Late-Night Worship
Join other students for a time of worship led by the Worship Collective. Times and locations vary; check your Event Guide for details one week before your scheduled visit to campus.
Recreational Activities
As a CFAW student, you will have access to a variety of on-campus recreational activities at the LaHaye Fitness Center, the Montview Bowling Alley, and the Hydaway Outdoor Center.
Scholarships
A common question among college applicants is, “How do I get scholarships?”
At Liberty University, a remarkable 94% of students receive financial aid. During your CFAW visit, you will be able to begin tapping into some of these scholarship opportunities by participating in scholarship contests to showcase your skills and demonstrate the impact of your faith on the world.

CFAW Essay Scholarship
Compete to win one of four $2,000 scholarships to Liberty University by telling us how a scholarship to Liberty will help you change the world for Christ in 50-280 characters. Be creative and concise; the winners will be announced via ExperienceLU social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram, on Monday, February 24, 2025.
- Who Is Eligible?: High school second-semester sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduates, and transfer students.
- How to Register: To enter this competition, you must submit your essay using the submission link below. The next CFAW Essay Scholarship Competition will be during the February 20-22, 2025 CFAW event. Submissions will be accepted starting on February 20, 2025, at 3 p.m. EST.
- When? The CFAW Essay Competition is open each College For A Weekend.

Worship Lifestyle Project
The Worship Lifestyle Project is your opportunity to share how you worship and give glory to Christ every day. In partnership with the School of Music, we will award two $10,000 scholarships to the winners of this Worship Lifestyle Project during CFAW. This competition takes place during the September CFAW event only.
Two ways to enter:
- Track One: Submit an essay explaining how you live a lifestyle of worship, then present a speech based on your paper. Submissions will be graded according to the Paper Presentations Rubric. You must send your essay via email to worshiplifestyleproject@liberty.edu in addition to registering for this competition.
- Track Two: Submit a 250-word description of your testimony and perform any Christian song or hymn on the instrument of your choice, including voice. Submissions will be graded according to the Vocal and Instrumental Rubric. You must send your 250-word description of your testimony to worshiplifestyleproject@liberty.edu in addition to registering for this competition.

- Who Is Eligible? High school second-semester sophomores, juniors, seniors, and transfer students.
- How to Register: You can register for the Worship Lifestyle Project, but either the Track One essay or Track Two 250-word description must be emailed to finalize your entry. The written portions of your entry can be submitted to worshiplifestyleproject@liberty.edu.
- When? The Worship Lifestyle Project scholarship competition takes place during the September CFAW event each year.
