Admission Requirements for Liberty’s Online Bible Program
Applicants must have a 2.0 or above cumulative GPA for admission in good standing. Please visit our admission requirements page for more detailed admissions-related information.
All applicants must submit the following:
- Admission application
- Application fee*
- Official college transcripts
- Unofficial college transcripts may be accepted with a completed official transcript request form**
- Official high school transcripts or official GED test scores are required for an official admissions decision
- Students may be allowed to enroll in up to 12 credit hours with Liberty with the submission of an unofficial high school transcript and our High School Self-Certification form
- Proof of English proficiency (for applicants whose native language is other than English)
*There is no upfront application fee; however, a deferred $50 application fee will be assessed during Financial Check-In. This fee is waived for qualifying service members, veterans, and military spouses – documentation verifying military status is required.
**An official transcript is needed within 60 days of acceptance or before non-attendance drops for the first set of matriculated classes, whichever comes first.
What Will You Learn in Our Biblical Studies Degree?
In our Bible degree online, you will study the Old Testament, New Testament, and systematic theology. You will also study intercultural communication and engagement, the Pentateuch, and each of the Gospels. In addition, our Bible degree covers Pauline Epistles, General Epistles, practical methods for teaching Scripture, and biblical theology. This degree’s Bible-specific major courses also teach Acts, Daniel and Revelation, writing for religious disciplines, and methodical approaches to the study of Scripture.
Our BS in Bible allows you to select 24-30 elective credit hours. While you can take additional Bible courses to satisfy these electives, you can also study youth ministry, theology, Christian counseling, church history, global studies, and more. The structure of our bachelor’s in biblical studies degree can help you become a well-rounded, knowledgeable professional who can effectively minister to people of different cultures and backgrounds.
