Before coming to Liberty University’s School of Business as an Online Chair, Dr. Philebaum served as an adjunct instructor for three Christian universities and as President of Aviation Services Division for a late-stage, ready-to-launch hospitality and tourism-based airline.
He has extensive experience in the government section as a seasoned senior USAF officer/pilot serving 32 years in positions of increasing responsibilities flying strategic airlift and refueling aircraft culminating in commander of an executive airlift wing transporting congressional delegates, cabinet members, and the First Lady.
Transitioning to higher education and institution administration, Dr. Philebaum works directly with the Dean to ensure effectiveness and productivity in curriculum, active course sections, assessment of faculty, programs, courses and procedures. He is also a Subject Matter Expert for and instructs Case Study Research/Business Solutions Methodology and Lean Six Sigma.
A life-long learner, he is passionate about disciple-making, mentoring, and leadership, and serves as a national Board Member for the Compass Experience: improving the core of America one student at a time through integrity, relationships, and accountability.
