The mission of SGA is to be a bridge between students and administration. We seek to serve and lead our campus by advocating for students with integrity, humility, and grace as modeled by Christ. Through enacting legislation, facilitating student events, and engaging the local community, we strive to promote an environment where students can truly live as Champions for Christ.
Executive: The executive branch of SGA consists of the President and Vice President of the Student Body and their cabinet. The President and Vice President act as the main representative to the administration by meeting with them to discuss student concerns and present legislation. Clubs and budgets are overseen and facilitated by the executive branch. The executive branch strives to engage with the Student Body via social media and through events.
Legislative: The House of Delegates and the Senate write, discuss, and vote on legislation to improve campus life and change administrative policies. Any student may apply to join the House, and students may also apply to represent their academic schools in the Senate.
Judicial: The judicial branch works to ensure fairness and openness for the Liberty community, through the Student Court and the Election Commission. The Student Court, headed by the Chief Justice and composed of four Associate Justices, arbitrates LUPD fines, as well as administers discipline within the SGA, and issues binding decisions on internal SGA matters. The Election Commission, headed by the Chief Justice-appointed Election Commissioner, oversees the administration of SGA elections, and is assisted by four Election Board members.
