Biography
After almost two decades away, Dr. Hatfield returned to Liberty in the fall of 2016. Dr. Hatfield completed his undergraduate degree in History at LU as a non-traditional student while working in facility and game management in the Athletics Department. After graduating from Liberty, he moved on to work in facility and event management and athletic development at the University of Southern Mississippi. During his time in Hattiesburg, Dr. Hatfield earned his Master’s degree in Sport Administration. He also returned to LU for a brief time to serve as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.

Service quality of sport and entertainment properties, organizational behavior, sport and entertainment-related tourism and hospitality, and enterprise risk management.
Career Highlights
Dr. Hatfield has over ten years of experience as a professor in sport business. During this time, his experience has included serving as the program coordinator for Sport Management at the University of West Georgia and was the founding director of the Sport Venue Management Program.
