Our RN to BSN to MSN takes you through the content of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which expands on your nursing training to improve your nursing practice techniques.   • Credit is given for RN licensure, and no challenge tests are required.

  • For students who would like an on-campus experience, the following courses are also offered in an optional, intensive format during the Fall and Spring semesters.
    • NURS 325 – Nursing Concepts
    • NURS 492 – Advanced Concepts of Nursing Practice

  • A background check and RN Licensure verification will be completed while enrolled in Advanced Nursing Communication, the required first nursing course. There is a fee of $39.95 (additional charges may apply) associated with this requirement.

Admission Requirements for the Online RN-BSN-MSN in Health Policy Degree

Applicants must have a 3.0 or above cumulative GPA for admission in good standing. Please visit our admission requirements page for more detailed admissions-related information.

At this time, our RN to BSN to MSN degree is limited in certain states. Please view the licensure/certification requirements for your state. International students can contact the School of Nursing for questions about admission to their specific degree of interest.

All applicants must submit the following:

  • Admission application
  • Application fee*
  • Official college transcripts
  • Unofficial college transcripts may be accepted with a completed official transcript request form**
  • Proof of RN license
  • Official high school transcripts or official GED test scores are required for an official admissions decision
    • Students may be allowed to enroll in up to 12 credit hours with Liberty with the submission of an unofficial high school transcript and our High School Self-Certification form
  • Proof of English proficiency (for applicants whose native language is other than English)

*There is no upfront application fee; however, a deferred $50 application fee will be assessed during Financial Check-In. This fee is waived for qualifying service members, veterans, and military spouses – documentation verifying military status is required.

**An official transcript is needed within 60 days of acceptance or before non-attendance drops for the first set of matriculated classes, whichever comes first.
