Each of the courses within the degree is designed to equip you with a biblical worldview of human behavior and the application of helping skills. Not only will you be introduced to the theories and skills required to provide pastoral crisis intervention and counseling, but you will also develop the skill sets to address specific psychological issues that apply to men, women, and children throughout their lifespan.
Three specific courses which play an important role in this degree are PACO 509 - Spiritual Formation in Pastoral Counseling, PACO 617 - Theories and Techniques in Pastoral Counseling, and PACO 699 Pastoral Counseling Internship. It is important to note that PACO 509 and PACO 617 are offered online and in one-week on-campus intensives. We highly recommended that you take PACO 509 and 617 in the intensives’ format as face-to-face interaction heightens the learning experience.
