Why Choose Liberty’s Online Minor in Education?
Liberty University’s Minor in Education is offered online, just like our Bachelor of Education (BEd) degrees. This format allows you to remain active in your job, with your family, and in your community while taking the next step in your academic journey.
You don’t have to be an education major to gain the foundational skills of education. Our 15-credit-hour Minor in Education aims to equip you with the knowledge needed to make a difference in children’s lives. If you are interested in further study of education, our non-licensure bachelor’s degree in elementary education is a great stepping stone to a graduate licensure program, such as our Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT). You could also pursue a Bachelor of Education (BEd) instead, which can help you earn your teaching license sooner.
What Will You Study in Our Online Minor in Education?
Liberty University’s Minor in Education online courses are designed to introduce you to key concepts, learning processes, and teaching strategies in education. In the education minor, you will explore the history, philosophy, and psychology of education as it relates to the Christian school movement and the public school system. You will also study learning problems and intervention techniques for working with students with disabilities.
Your studies will introduce you to the latest technology used in education. Our courses also cover how to identify and handle differences in behavior and learning abilities between individuals. You can also gain a better understanding of behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders.
At Liberty, our professors are dedicated to Training Champions for Christ through a Christian worldview. We hope you will integrate our training into your primary degree as you learn how to prepare students for success in life.
