The Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling — Crisis Response and Trauma online program from Liberty University School of Behavioral Sciences equips students to meet the needs of individuals, organizations, and groups who have experienced a trauma, disaster, or other crisis.
This program provides students with the skills to counsel individuals in a variety of situations-from post-traumatic stress disorder to natural or man-made disasters. They will also gain a solid understanding of the biblical principles crucial to establishing ethical strategies in crisis counseling. Graduates of this program will have greater knowledge of how crisis and trauma can shape a person’s ability to cope with life. Students are encouraged to evaluate their own specific needs and to take advantage of available resources for personal and professional development as they seek a degree relevant to the field of pastoral counseling which is a non-licensed profession in the majority of the United States.
