Liberty University’s 100% online Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction – Student Services is a versatile degree that you can use to pursue student support positions in K-12 education. The MEd in Curriculum and Instruction – Student Services specialization is available as a non-licensure program that provides training for leadership roles in a variety of elementary, middle, and high school settings. The MEd degree in student services is designed as a non-licensure alternative to our master’s in school counseling degree. If you’re currently a licensed school counselor who works in a K-12 school setting and are seeking a graduate degree for career development purposes, the master’s in curriculum and instruction degree – student services may be a great fit for you.

Alternatively, if you’re seeking an initial license to teach in a K-12 setting, our Master of Arts in Teaching online degree program may be the best fit. Liberty’s education courses in the student services specialization integrate a distinctly Christian worldview. Our graduate-level online learning platform will challenge you to master a variety of topics, such as school counseling, human development, and teaching and learning methodology. You can also learn basic counseling and related educational strategies that can be utilized for student growth.

Our MEd in Curriculum and Instruction – Student Services also features 15 credit hours of advanced education core courses. You will study the foundations of education, instructional methodology, technology practices, and curriculum evaluation. The student services specialization, which allows you to choose an additional 15 credit hours of student services-focused courses, is an excellent addition to the core curriculum of our MEd in Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, this program requires you to complete 3 gate courses — which are essentially checkpoints at different stages in the program that are designed to ensure that you are making progress towards graduation.
