What Will You Learn in Our Th.M. – Biblical Studies Degree Program?
Within your core theology courses, you will learn to synthesize a personal and biblical systematic theology. You will also examine effective ways to build an argument and defend the Christian faith. These major courses will help you strengthen your understanding of biblical theology and contemporary Christian thought as a whole.
For your biblical studies-focused courses, you will dive into specific books of the Bible, including Genesis, Psalms, Isaiah, John, and Hebrews. These classes focus on investigating the uniqueness of each book, the doctrines of Christ, major themes, and historical contexts. Additionally, you will choose one elective course in any major area of religious studies to broaden your biblical knowledge.
Since this is a thesis track, you will complete a research course to prepare you for your final thesis defense. In some cases, students take a Thesis Proposal and Research course to gain additional faculty input and research time before they present their defense.
