Liberty University Online State Approval Disclosure
Students residing in the state of Washington are currently unable to complete their practicum within the state. However, it is possible for students to complete their practicum in neighboring states. Please contact the School of Nursing for more information.
Prospective students should contact their state’s Department of Education or Board of Nursing to verify access to practicum sites while enrolled in an out-of-state online program (some states may reserve clinical sites for in-state residential students). Most online DNP courses are offered in an eight-week format year-round.

Admission Requirements for Our Online DNP Degree Program
A regionally or nationally accredited master’s degree with a 3.0 or above GPA is required for admission in good standing. Please visit our Admission Requirements Page for more detailed admissions related information.

- Official college transcripts showing CCNE or ACEN approved BSN and MSN degrees
- Documentation for APRN License and associated professional certification (if applicable)
- Clinical Education Prerequisites
- Writing Sample
- Practicum Hour Verification Form
- Amercian Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers with AED
- Proof of English proficiency
A graduate biostatistics course is required. Students who do not meet this requirement may be granted admission to the program, but must complete the prerequisite before the necessary doctoral course(s). Refer to your individual program Degree Completion Plan (DCP).
