While this degree can help you gain core skills that may be useful in a physical education career, teacher positions typically require teacher licensure – which is not something that this degree alone provides. Many P.E. teachers who pursue this degree program already have a teaching license.
Licensure requirements for teachers vary by state. If you have questions about how to obtain teacher licensure as a physical educator, please contact your state’s Department of Education.
