Our biblical and divinity studies master’s degree is a flexible program. This degree can help you gain the knowledge to continue your journey in the field of ministry. You do not need prior ministry experience to pursue Liberty University’s MDiv.
Our 72-hour program can help provide you with a unique understanding of the foundations of biblical study, including discipleship, evangelism, and sermon preparation. You will also conduct a thorough review of the Old and New Testaments. Our course in hermeneutics can help provide an advanced understanding of interpreting the Word of God and how to share it with others.
By pursuing our online program, you can have the opportunity to pursue your degree through a flexible format. You can complete this degree through 8-week courses with no login times. Additionally, you can be assured in pursuing your degree at Liberty University as a regionally accredited school and one of the world’s largest Christian universities.

Liberty’s Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies online program features a wide variety of in-depth curriculum. You’ll study apologetics, church ministry, evangelism, homiletics, the Old and New Testaments, and theology. With our MDiv, you can select 12 credit hours of courses that most interest you to tailor your degree to your needs. Your options include a variety of select New Testament, Old Testament, and Greek and Hebrew language courses.
Throughout our biblical studies specialization, you will study many subjects related to ministry. This program covers the history of the Christian faith, the importance of discipleship ministries, intercultural communications, and more. Additionally, you can be provided with training in pastoral, premarital, and marital counseling. Studying counseling techniques can help you engage with community members and others when they seek biblical counsel.

Unofficial transcripts combined with a Transcript Request Form can be used for admission. Official transcripts are required within 60 days of the admissions decision or before non-attendance drops for the first set of matriculated classes, whichever comes first, and will prevent enrollment into future terms until all official transcripts have been received.
Before sending unofficial college transcripts, please make sure they include the following:
An acceptable official college transcript is one that has been issued directly from the institution and is in a sealed envelope. If you have one in your possession, it must meet the same requirements. If your previous institution offers electronic official transcript processing, they can send the document directly to luoverify@liberty.edu.
