Military Programs

Liberty University has had the privilege of cultivating relationships with several military organizations in order to provide educational opportunities to service members and veterans. We are proud to participate in programs relating to transfer credit that will allow you to accelerate your path to graduation, as well as others to provide the tools needed to succeed in your educational goals.

If you have questions about any of the programs we offer listed below please contact us.

American Council on Education (ACE)

The American Council on Education (ACE) reviews military occupations and training offered by all branches of the military to provide recommendations for granting college credit. Liberty University is proud to offer evaluations on military training and education based on these ACE recommendations. Please visit our Military Transfer Credit page for more information.

AU-ABC: Air University Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative

The AU-ABC program is designed to transfer the credit hours from an associate's degree from Air University toward the Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Liberty University.

Chaplain Candidate Program

The Chaplain Candidate Program (CCP) program is designed to train candidates to become active duty, reserve, and national guard military Chaplains, providing seminary students with supervised on-the-job training to evaluate each candidate as a prospective Chaplain. Chaplain candidates in the Air Force, Army, and Navy go through branch-specific officer training, as well as attend Chaplain School in Fort Jackson, SC, during their summers while in the program. Visit our Chaplain Candidate Program webpage to learn more.

NCPDLP - Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership

Through this partnership, sailors with particular Naval Ratings may receive guaranteed transfer credits toward specific degree plans. “Naval Roadmaps” are provided to indicate the estimated credit awarded and remaining based on the Naval Rating and Degree Plan selected.  Please see our NCPDLP page for more information.

Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC)

Liberty University is a current member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Degree Network System (DNS), participating in the DNS-2 (Associate level) and DNS-4 (Bachelor’s level) systems. The DNS is a group of institutions selected to provide service members and their eligible family members the opportunity to complete college degrees without losing credit because of frequent changes in duty station. The SOC DNS Student Agreement issued to all eligible students at member institutions provides a complete evaluation of the service member's prior learning, including courses from other colleges and universities, military training courses, military occupational experience,  nationally-recognized tests, and other non-traditional credit, as well as clearly identifying requirements for completing the degree. Current SOC Degree Network System membership and participating degree information is available here.

Liberty University is proud to offer the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC) program on our campus.
