The Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling program prepares students to serve as staff servant-leaders involved in non-professional counseling of church members and others in a variety of ministry settings, including churches, rescue missions, and shelters. Courses provide students with a strong understanding of biblical counseling principles and strategies in order to better meet the needs of others. This degree program is well-suited for students looking to meet the requirements to serve as military chaplains for certain branches of the armed services. It may also assist students seeking professional licensure as a counselor, although it does not meet licensure requirements alone.
