Hands-On Training | As part of this sports nutrition master’s program online, you’ll complete 2 residential intensives. These intensives will give you the opportunity to visit our beautiful campus in Lynchburg, Virginia, where you can gain hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art human performance labs. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect in person with other students and faculty and expand your professional network while visiting campus.

Learn how to help athletes train effectively and avoid injuries, particularly through the use of personalized nutrition plans.

In this program, you’ll analyze the human body’s responses to exercise and training. You’ll also study the physiological factors that determine anaerobic and endurance performance in athletes. With this knowledge, you can prepare to equip amateur, collegiate, or professional athletes to play their best.

Learn how to use high-accuracy tools and statistical models to analyze and interpret training data. At Liberty, you’ll gain hands-on experience developing nutritional plans that promote rehabilitation and higher performance. Whether you want to work with athletes or help the general public pursue healthier lifestyles, our MS in Human Performance – Nutrition can help.

The nutrition specialization explores basic principles of nutrition as well as how to prevent foodborne illness. You can also learn how to treat chronic disease using nutritional therapy. By learning about the development and treatment of diabetes and eating disorders, you can help people overcome health challenges and work toward a brighter future.

At the end of the program, you will complete either a thesis or an internship, allowing you to demonstrate your academic expertise or gain marketable, on-the-job experience.
