If you have previously earned an Education Specialist (EdS) degree, you may be able to transfer up to 27 credit hours into our online EdD. Our core administration and supervision courses cover important topics in executive leadership, educational law, and advanced learning theory. Additionally, you will complete 2 practicum courses and 1 full-semester internship so you can put your skills to the test. You’ll also complete research that can build toward your final capstone project. The educational leadership specialization offers an opportunity for you to hone your leadership skills and learn how to best serve your students and institution. Throughout the program, you can complete the requirements for pursuing licensure in administration and supervision – so you can prepare to take on new roles in the field of education.
By earning this terminal, CAEP-accredited degree, you can become equipped to pursue leadership roles in K-12 institutions as well as in advanced, higher-order development of curriculum.
