What Will You Learn in Our M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction – Leadership Degree Online

Throughout Liberty University’s online master’s in education program, you can learn about educational technology, supervision skills and techniques, learning theory, and current issues facing today’s education policies. By developing an understanding of individual differences, motivation factors, human development, exceptionality, and teaching methodology, you can become more perceptive to the needs of your classroom.

Additionally, all of your curriculum and instruction courses will be taught from a Christian worldview to provide context for biblical leadership. You will also receive an overview of human development, data collection, assessment, and research that will strengthen your education skills.

Your course in educational technology will train you on how to effectively use new and developing technology for online learning, building effective teams, and increasing effectiveness in communication. Your M.Ed. degree will also focus on supervision and curriculum leadership relevant to positions like curriculum directors, various supervision roles, and department heads.

Admission Requirements for the M.Ed. Program

A regionally or nationally accredited bachelor’s degree with a 2.5 or above GPA is required for admission in good standing. Please visit our admission requirements page for more detailed admissions-related information. 

All applicants must submit the following:

  • Admission application
  • Application fee*
  • Official college transcripts
  • Unofficial college transcripts may be accepted with a completed official transcript request form**
  • Proof of English proficiency (for applicants whose native language is other than English)

*There is no upfront application fee; however, a deferred $50 application fee will be assessed during Financial Check-In. This fee is waived for qualifying service members, veterans, and military spouses – documentation verifying military status is required.

**An official transcript is needed within 60 days of acceptance or before non-attendance drops for the first set of matriculated classes, whichever comes first.
