Liberty Insider – Spring
Liberty University is excited to announce that Commencement 2023 Degree Presentation Ceremonies have been held.
This weekend’s Commencement is one of the largest in school history with an estimated crowd of 60,000 visiting campus, including graduates, family members, and friends.
A Common Goal
College students all share the same goal of graduating, regardless of their level of study. Graduation represents a significant achievement and turning point in someone’s life. It is more than just a diploma and regalia. Graduation also signifies the culmination of countless hours of studying, writing, researching, and creating. It is the pursuit of this achievement that unites students of every discipline in their pursuit of knowledge and education. As an Academic Advisor, I speak with many students. Your stories and backgrounds are beautifully diverse and unique, but they all share one thing in common – the desire to graduate. Pursuing that goal is not always an easy task and takes a lot of time and hard work. There may be difficulties and challenges along the way, but I always remind the students I work with of the same thing. Remember why you decided to pursue this degree in the first place. Refer to that original inspiration that brought you into academia! It can be very easy to lose sight of the end goal while dealing with exams, studying, and papers. However, if you do feel overwhelmed, take a step back and remind yourself of the reason that you are pursuing a degree – to graduate! Keep your eyes on the end goal. There is an end in sight; a very attainable and tangible reward waits.
Feeling overwhelmed with school can lead to feeling isolated and alone. But let me assure you, that is not the case. If you ever need assistance with any aspect of your education, reach out for help! You don’t have to do this alone. As part of the Academic Advising team, my goal is to help you achieve your final goal, which is to graduate. My colleagues and I at Liberty University are here to help you achieve this goal; all you need to do is ask. As an Academic Advisor, I have had the privilege of helping students from start to finish, whether it’s registering for their first course or getting signed up for commencement. Assisting you throughout your academic journey is what myself and my colleagues are here to do. We understand that college can be challenging and overwhelming at times. As an academic advising team, we want to help you navigate through these difficulties and achieve your goals. Remember, what inspired you to start this journey in the first place and hold onto it when the going gets tough. Always remember, if you need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you!
