Message from the Director of Online Life

As an online student, we know life can be challenging as you balance work and home with your studies. Because of this, Online Life is here to help as you work towards your goals. Our goal in Online Life is two-fold: create authentic and genuine community and develop students as people, professionals, and followers of Jesus Christ. We do this by offering several exciting resources for you as an online student! You can connect with students from around the globe, learn about events, share prayer requests, and take advantage of mentorship opportunities as part of our new online student community. Online Life has collaborated with the Office of Alumni Relations to host our groups in the Alumni Community, which can be found at Liberty.edu/Communities. Be sure to select “online” as your campus when registering to be added to our online student groups.

We also have some great personal development opportunities available, including book studies! Students who register receive a free book and can read along with a cohort of about 30 people. Each week, there is a live Teams call where everyone logs on to discuss what they read and to encourage each other. We have seen some great conversations around popular books like Boundaries and Atomic Habits this past year. There are also two exciting development opportunities available to students at deep discounts: Financial Peace University and Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People” course. Both courses teach some incredible concepts that will surely be valuable to you long after your time at Liberty is complete. You can register for all these development offerings at our website, Liberty.edu/onlinestudentlife.

You can also join us in your car, at the gym, at work, or wherever you are for the On Life Podcast, an exclusive podcast for online students. Here, we’ll talk about the struggles, challenges, and joys you may face as an online student, including mental health, faith, and academic success. Through the On Life Podcast, we hope to encourage and equip you in Living Life in Abundance Wherever God Puts You. Each season will feature highly qualified speakers from around Liberty’s campus in Lynchburg, Va., covering topics specifically developed for you as an online student. These helpful conversations are designed to equip you to live the abundant life available to you through Jesus. We stream these on major platforms like Apple Music and Spotify!

Don’t hesitate to contact us as you make it through your course of study if you need some encouragement or some help connecting with the right office here at Liberty. We are here to serve you!
