Liberty University Online Tuition and Fees Most of our tuition rates rank in the top 35% for affordability for 2025 and online undergraduate tuition rates have been frozen for the last 10 years!

¹B.S.N.-M.S.N. (Dual Degree) – The B.S.N.-M.S.N. Dual Degree program is formatted in a way in which students enrolled specifically in this program will earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing concurrently.

²Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences – This program will no longer be accepting new enrollees beginning in Fall 2018.

³Master of Education and Master of Arts in Teaching Programs – Applicable to School of Education programs only. Does not include School of Behavioral Sciences programs.

⁴School of Divinity D.Min. and Ph.D. – Rawlings School of Divinity Doctor of Ministry students and Rawlings School of Divinity Ph.D students enrolled between 1 and 6.99 credit hours will be charged the part-time tuition rate of $395 per credit hour for the 2024-2025 academic year and $410 per credit hour for the 2025-2026 academic year. Students enrolled between 7 and 15 credit hours will be charged the block rate of $2,750 for the 2024-2025 academic year and $2,850 for the 2025-2026 academic year. Any credit hours above 15 will be charged at the $395 part-time rate for the 2024-2025 academic year and $410 per credit hour for the 2025-2026 academic year. In addition, the Ed.D. in Christian Leadership (DECL-EDD-D) does not qualify for the School of Divinity block or part time rates. Students in this program are charged the standard full time and part time rates for online Doctoral programs.

⁵Post Graduate Certificates in Psychiatric Mental Health – Beginning Spring 2022, students will pay a flat rate of $1,200 per credit hour, as opposed to separate part-time and full-time rates. Those who have begun coursework in the Fall 2021 term or earlier, will be grandfathered into the previous full-time/part-time tuition rate. If a student breaks enrollment or graduates, they will be updated to the new flat tuition rate when they re-enroll. Please note that the flat rate means that new students in these programs will not be eligible for the military discount.

⁶Military Graduate/Ed.D., Ed.S., D.Min.: Pastoral Counseling Programs – The $275 doctorate military rate only applies to the 2024-25 academic year and for the following programs: the Education Doctoral (Ed.D and Ed.S) programs, Doctorate of Ministry: Pastoral Counseling, Executive Certificate in Curriculum and Instruction, Executive Certificate in Higher Education Administration, and Executive Certificate in School Administration and Supervision. All Doctoral military students enrolled in the programs listed prior will be assessed the $375 rate beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. Military students pursuing other doctorate programs will be charged the regular (part-time/full-time) doctorate tuition rates. Students enrolled in the Doctorate of Ministry: Pastoral Counseling for 7 to 15 credit hours will be assessed a military block rate of $1,925 for the 2024-2025 academic year and $2,800 for the 2025-2026 academic year.

⁷Military Graduate to Doctoral tuition – Beginning in Fall 2020, when you complete a graduate degree through Liberty – including the nested 21-hour advanced/executive certificates – and you continue your studies into specific doctoral programs within 2 academic years of graduation, you will receive a reduced tuition rate of just $300 per credit hour for the 2024-2025 academic year and $375 per credit hour for the 2025-2026 academic year. The $300/$375 tuition rates only apply to active service members, eligible veterans, and spouses who are new to an eligible doctoral program in Fall 2020 or after. DoD employees are not eligible for the discounted tuition rate at the doctoral level.

⁸Technology Fee – The Technology Fee is waived for all active military and their spouses starting in the 2025-2026 academic year.

⁹Book and Online Content – Electronic course materials are provided to online undergraduate students at no cost, since their Inclusive Access fees are waived. Online graduate students have an estimated cost of $720 for textbooks and online content for the 2024-2025 academic year and $636 for the 2025-2026 academic year. Students’ direct costs for books and online content fees could vary each year, depending on their program of study, program level, semesters of attendance, and varying materials needed for each course.

¹⁰LUOA Discount only applicable to tuition for non-dual enrollment courses with Liberty University Online Academy (LUOA). Students must be new to LUOA and enrolled in full-time courses to be eligible. At least one parent must have completed a course with Liberty University Online (LUO) within the last 24 months to be eligible. This LUO Parent Discount is not stackable with other discounts.
