KIRKLAND, WA. Liberty University Online has ranked 15 out of 200 educational institutions offering online degree programs in a study by Guide to Online Schools, a leading online education website. The annual study factored in multiple facets: regional accreditation, tuition cost, number of students, number of full-time faculty, number of part-time faculty, student-to-faculty ratio, graduation rate and retention rate, all derived from the latest data compiled by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), a U.S. Department of Education group.

For its findings, Guide to Online Schools also leveraged student feedback and reviews collected on its site during the study. The top 25 schools to rank were then published with full metric data presented online.

Liberty University Online was determined to be an exceptional value for students looking to receive a personalized educational experience. The school ranked well for having a low overall total tuition cost and a strong retention rate. Liberty University Online also received high marks for its accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and other program-specific accrediting agencies. Its ranking placed it ahead of other popular online institutions, including the University of Phoenix, Norwich University and Strayer University.

Liberty University Online is a non-profit program of Liberty University, the largest Christian university in the world. Offering more than 40 degree programs and 90 specializations, from associate to doctoral, LU Online serves the educational needs of more than 40,000 students.
