Liberty student-run non-profit receives $16,000

Amanda Forth, a 2009 Liberty University graduate currently working as a VA benefits representative with Liberty’s Military Affairs Office, was contacted recently by Regal Entertainment Group about a unique fundraising opportunity... and ended up receiving $16,000 on behalf of the LU student organization Students Behind Our Soldiers.
The non-profit organization Forth founded was chosen as one of the charities to benefit from a grand opening promotion at the new Regal theater in Lynchburg. On Liberty’s night, every show sold out.
“We had the largest number out of the three charities that they donated to,” said Forth. “And apparently these were the largest numbers ever seen for these charity days that Regal holds every time they open a new theatre. It was very exciting.”
