Final Steps to Claim Your Account:

  1. Click Next.
  2. Answer questions that relate to the University Policy on Account Use.
  3. As you come to the end of the process, you will be required to set up personal security questions and your unique password.

Pick 3 different personal security questions and answer them accordingly.

  • The answer you provide must be at least 3 characters in length.
  • The security questions are case sensitive, so you should enter the answers in a way that you will remember. We recommend that you write the answers down and keep them in a safe place.
  • If you cannot answer the security questions exactly as you type them here, you will not be able to reset your password using the Forgot Password process in the future.

Create a password of your choice based on the guidelines explained on the page.

  • Ensure it is at least 10 characters in length
  • Contains at least 1 capital letter
  • Contains at least 1 lowercase letter
  • Contains at least 1 number or special character
  • The following characters are not recommended for use in passwords: ( % _ $ ; ( ) [ ] { } ‘ “ * ? @ /
  • If you are claiming your Liberty Account in Internet Explorer, you may encounter an issue where no matter how strong the password that you enter is, the strength indicator bar will stay at 0%. This is a known issue with Internet Explorer. As long as you are sure your password meets all requirements, you can continue. Google Chrome is the preferred browser for all of Liberty’s systems.

Once your password is set up, please follow the steps below:

    1. Click Continue to complete the process.
    2. The next page should display your username and email address. Using this username and the password that you just created, you will be able to log into the Liberty website and access all the resources available to you, such as your Liberty email, ASIST, and Financial Check-in.
    3. Once the account has been claimed, it may take up to 2 hours before the account is fully activated.
