Harvey Hartman

Professor, School of Divinity

Discipline: Biblical Studies

Dr. Hartman gained a passion for teaching from his Greek professor at Calvary Bible College. That passion was enhanced by his Old Testament professors at Grace Theological Seminary. In 1981, after coming to Liberty University, he participated in the archaeological excavations at Tel Dan in Israel. He has been married to his wife Kriss since 1970. They have three sons, all graduates of Liberty University, and eight grandchildren.  For over ten years he and his wife have enjoyed spending their summers serving at Clydehurst Christian Ranch in Montana.  For nearly twenty years he has been actively engaged in the ministry of Heritage Baptist Church, serving primarily as the Shepherd/teacher of the “Legacy Builders” Discipleship Community.
