Dr. Matt Willmington accepted Jesus as his Savior at age 6 and began ministering in church leadership at 18. In 1987 he married his wife Chris who is a reading teacher in Lynchburg City Schools. He helped start the Center for Youth Ministry at Liberty, taught classes and led YouthQuest teams for 13 years. He served as Minister of Education at Thomas Road Baptist Church for 3 years before joining the team that pioneered West Ridge Church in the Atlanta area. He served there as executive pastor for 8 years. Since 2008 he has ministered as one of the executive pastors at TRBC, and a teacher in Pastoral Leadership. He did his undergraduate and seminary work at Liberty, doctoral work at University of Sarasota, and is finishing a masters at Dallas Seminary.
