Rationale
The purpose of this course is to give the student direct experiential insight into understanding and applying new social media and digital technologies to the global marketplace.

Discussions (3)
Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each Discussion. Each thread must be 300–400 words, demonstrate course-related knowledge, and include 1 citation from the textbook and 1 citation from the Bible in APA format. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to two other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 150–200 words.
Discussion: Video Introduction
Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a video introduction thread in response to the provided prompt for the Discussion: Video Introduction. In addition to the thread, the student must post 2 replies of at least 150–200 words.
Course Project: Summary Assignment
The Course Project: Summary Assignment is the first part of the Course Project: Final Paper and Video Assignment. The student will choose an organization, product, service, etc. as the focus of the final project and an analytical approach. The student will put together a creative plan for a new or existing digital technology to grow a particular product/service/organization that is of interest, or describe an existing technology-based success. A minimum of 2 paragraphs is required for each section and at least 3 different sources, including the course textbook, are required with citations in APA format. This assignment allows the instructor to ensure the student is on the right track for the Course Project: Final Paper and Video Assignment.
Course Project: Final Paper and Video Assignment
This project has both written and video production components. The final submission will be a 4–6 page paper and a 30–60 second video. The student will choose an organization, product, service, etc. as the focus of the final project, and an analytical approach. The student will put together a creative plan for a new or existing digital technology to grow a particular product/service/organization that is of interest, or describe an existing technology-based success. At least 6 different sources including the course textbook are required with citations in APA format. This assignment builds off of the Course Project: Summary Assignment providing more in depth detail and video.
Case Studies (3)
There are 3 Case Studies throughout the course. The student will read and study the provided information and answer the corresponding questions. The Case Studies are not timed.
Quizzes (4)
Each Quiz will cover the Learn material for the assigned modules. Each Quiz will be open-book/open-notes and contain multiple-choice and true/false questions. The first 3 quizzes will contain 50 questions and have a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes. The final Quiz is cumulative, contains 75 questions, and has a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
