SOWK 600 Advanced Generalist Bridge Course

The Advanced Generalist Bridge Course prepares the student for graduate work in social work, including an advanced introduction to competencies, emphasis on social work values and ethics, the biblical underpinnings of the profession, advanced writing skills, and technology proficiencies.

This assignment provides students with the opportunity to practice graduate writing skills. Students will use APA format and a professional voice. Students will provide a brief summary of an article. (CLO: A, C; Competency 1)

Students will have the opportunity to use the information they learned to create their proposed course schedule.

Case Study Response Assignment

Students will assess the impact of life experiences on one’s personal and professional life.  

Planning for Field Experience Assignment

Students will submit their plan for completing the hours required for Generalist field experience.
and their plan for completing the hours required for Advanced Generalist field experience. Students will submit a list of five agencies in their area that they could consider for hosting their field experience.

Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the assigned module. Each quiz will contain 5-20 multiple-choice, multiple answer, true/false, short answer, file upload, and essay questions and have no time limit.  (CLO: A, B; Competencies 1, 2)
