Rationale
The purpose of this course is to understand virtuality and the challenges facing virtual organizations. This course will assist the student in exploring the dimensions of working in a virtual environment. Key topics will include virtual teams, socialization, communication, and the reality of virtual working.

Discussions (4)
Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a discussion thread in response to the provided prompt for each discussion. The discussion thread must be at least 300 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. Threads should be supported by the course textbooks, the Bible, and at least 1 scholarly source. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads in current APA format. Each reply must be at least 150 words and should utilize the course textbooks, the Bible, and at least 1 scholarly source. Sources should be cited in current APA format.
Discussion: Developing a Virtual Organization
For this discussion, the student will post their narrated PowerPoint presentation for their Remote Strategy Assignment for review and comment by classmates. The presentation should consist of at least 10 slides of content, not including the title slide or reference slide, and utilize at least 2 scholarly sources cited in current APA format. The student is then required to reply to 2 other presentation posts. Each reply must be 150 words and utilize the course textbooks, the Bible, and at least 1 scholarly source in current APA format. The student will create a concept map for the topic assigned in each module, presenting key terms regarding the topic and supporting details highlighting those terms and any relationships between terms. Each map will be submitted in PDF form and should attend to proper spelling and grammar for clarity and readability of the map. (CLO: A,B,C,D)
Remote Strategy Assignment
The student will submit a 3-5 page, not including the title and reference page, academic essay explaining a remote team and workplace strategy for a hypothetical remote start-up. The paper will require a minimum of 2 scholarly sources of support. In addition, current APA format will be required to present the essay. (CLO: A,B,C,D)
Quiz: Reflective Quizzes (2)
Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the assigned module(s): week(s). Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 2 essay questions, allow for 1 attempt, and have a 3-hour time limit. Current APA format will be required for citing and referencing the Learn material. (CLO: A,B,C,D,E)
