This course advances a framework, a process, and compositional approaches for designing a research project for qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research in public administration.

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each Discussion. Each thread must be 800 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 500 words. For each thread, the student must support his/her assertions with at least 2 scholarly citations in current APA format. The topic must be related to scripture/biblical principles where appropriate. Each reply must incorporate at least 2 scholarly citations from the Learn items used during the assigned Module: Week, in current APA format. Any sources cited must have been published within the last five years.
The student will write a 12-20 page research-based paper in current APA format that focuses on writing a Literature Review. The paper must include at least 25 references in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible.
The Research Report: Outline Assignment provides the student with the opportunity to create an outline using his/her Introduction and Literature Review sections and synthesize those components into the methodology of a research study, e.g., ethics, methods, analysis, instruments, etc. This 20-to-30-page outline will include important components of a research paper plan. The paper must include at least 25 references.
Based on the topic used in prior assignments, the student must find a peer-reviewed research article that uses a similar research question to the one that he/she has selected. Explore how the research article explains its methodology, research design, and analysis technique. This assignment will give the student the opportunity to explore ideas similar to those that he/she is considering. This 10-to-15-page paper will give the student experience in evaluating peer-reviewed research. The paper must include at least one scholarly citation.
This assignment will give the student the opportunity to create a research study based on a simulated research scenario with the data analysis supplied. This 10-to-15-page research study will include important components of a research paper plan. The paper must include at least 15 references.
Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the assigned modules: weeks. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 10 multiple-choice and/or true/false questions, and have a 30-minute time limit. Each quiz will allow 1 attempt.
