Crisis intervention is a critical aspect of contemporary ministry practice, especially for the pastoral counselor who frequently works with individuals experiencing significant challenges and crises. It is important for the counselor to possess a clear understanding of how to help his or her clients navigate crises and achieve greater emotional and spiritual health in the process. By developing these competencies, the pastoral counselor can better fulfill his or her role in providing support and guidance during critical moments of need.
