MUSC 990 Dissertation Defense
Course Description
In this course, students will submit their dissertation, to include the abstract and chapters 1‐5. Students will conclude this course with an oral defense of their dissertation.

Rationale
An important part of a PhD degree is the completion of a dissertation. Under the direction of a dissertation mentor, the PhD candidate completes a dissertation manuscript, dissertation defense, and final document submission.
Course Assignment
After reading the Course Syllabus and Student Expectations, the candidate will complete the related checklist found in the Course Overview.
The candidate will go through the process of completing and defending a dissertation. The candidate will submit a final version of the dissertation document to both the canvas assignment and the library.
