Course Requirements Checklist
After reading the Course Syllabus and Student Expectations, the student will complete the related checklist found in the Course Overview.
Dissertation Submission: Proposal/Current Status Assignment
The student will submit his/her proposal, or, if the proposal has already been submitted and approved by the student’s committee, the most recent version of the dissertation can be submitted. The document will be reviewed by the student’s dissertation mentor. The student will ensure that the document meets the requirements of the School of Music Dissertation Handbook as well as the requirements of Turabian style. These submissions are for the mentor to assess progress; if the manuscript is ready for a review by the mentor between required submissions, the student should email the professor requesting a review of the manuscript.
Dissertation Submission: Progress Check Assignments (8)
As the student moves through the process of preparing the dissertation, the student will submit drafts to his or her committee for review. The feedback the student receives on these drafts will guide the student as he or she moves forward.
Quiz: Dissertation Handbook Acknowledgment
The student will complete a quiz acknowledging the reading of the Dissertation Handbook. The quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 1 yes/no question, and have no time limit.
