Course Description
This course builds on MMFT 692, providing continued supervised clinical experience with a focus on advanced case conceptualization, ethical decision-making, and clinical competency in marriage and family therapy. Students will refine their therapeutic approach through direct client contact and professional supervision.

Rationale
Advanced clinical training is critical for the student to develop higher-level therapeutic skills in systemic therapy. This second practicum supports progressive skill development, ensuring the student receives ongoing supervision and refinement of his or her clinical competencies. The integration of ethical and faith-based considerations reinforces professional and personal growth.

The student will attend weekly, live, group supervision with the Liberty faculty supervisor. There is nothing to submit for this assignment. Faculty will award points based on his/her participation.
Telemental Health Policy Assignment
In-person clinical counseling is the expected standard in meeting the direct service requirements, but the student will be permitted to use telemental health services if the approved site uses telemental health services as a normal delivery of services. For this assignment, the student must collect signatures from his/her site supervisors in order to complete the Telemental Health Policy form and then submit it in Canvas. The form acknowledges that the student may use telemental health services and that the site or supervisor holds responsibility for providing access, instruction, and guidance that meet all requirements.
Telemental Health Training Completion Certificate Assignment
The student must submit a completed Telemental Health Training Certificate verifying that he/she has completed Liberty University’s provided telemental health training before conducting any telemental health services. The student will complete a quiz in one of the provided links to obtain the certificate.
Raw Data Presentation Assignments (3)
Each student will complete at least three recorded therapy sessions with a case conceptualization form. Each presentation should be with a relational system.
Mock Integrated Theory of Change Presentation Assignment
As part of the Integrated Theory of Change Project, the student will complete a Full Mock Clinical Presentation of their Theory of Change in preparation for the final clinical presentation due later in this course.
Integrated Theory of Change Final Clinical Presentation Assignment
As part of the Integrated Theory of Change Project, the student will finalize their Integrated Theory of Change Clinical Presentation in this course.
Quiz: Policy
The quiz will cover the Learn material in the assigned Module. The quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 1 true/false question, and have a 1-hour time limit. The quiz allows 1 attempt.
Quiz: AAMFT Code of Ethics
The quiz will cover the Learn material in the assigned module. The quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 20 multiple-choice questions, and have a 45-minute time limit. The quiz allows 1 attempt.
Quiz: Liability Insurance Verification
The student must submit a copy of liability insurance in order to prove that he/she has maintained liability insurance throughout the Practicum and the 3 Internship courses. The student cannot begin or continue to remain in practicum or an internship without appropriate liability insurance. The Policy Period must cover the entire semester, and if the student’s policy expires prior to the end of the semester, an updated Liability Insurance Face Sheet must be submitted upon renewal. The student will receive 1/2 of the points for the initial submission and full credit upon verification of renewal. The quiz contains 1 file-upload question and has no time limit. Quiz: Site and Supervisor Information
As part of the Practicum/Internship application process, the student submitted contact information about his/her approved site and supervisor. This quiz will ensure the information for the student’s site(s) and approved supervisor(s) matches office records. The quiz will contain 2 short answer questions and have a 1-hour time limit. The quiz allows 2 attempts, and the highest attempt will count towards the grade.
Quiz: Suicide Risk Assessment
The quiz will cover the Learn material in the assigned module. The quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 8 multiple-choice and 2 true/false questions, and have a 1-hour time limit. The quiz allows 1 attempt.
Quiz: Diagnosis
The quiz will cover the Learn material in the assigned module. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 5 multiple-choice and true/false questions, and have a 30-minute time limit. The quiz allows 1 attempt.
Quiz: State Requirements Checklist
The student will go to his/her state board’s website to review the Rules and Regulations regarding the practice of professional counseling or marriage and family therapy (depending on which degree program in which the student is enrolled) and complete the information needed. Each state requires different coursework and different amounts and types of student practicum and internship hours. It is the student’s responsibility to know what is required by his/her state. The student will fill out the provided Quiz: State Requirements Checklist Template and submit it to Canvas. The quiz contains 1 file-upload question and no time limit. The quiz allows 1 attempt.
Quizzes: Site Supervisor Evaluations (BSED) (2)
The student will download the template forms found on either the Quiz: Supervisor Evaluation: Midterm page or the Quiz: Supervisor Evaluation: Final page and give them to his/her supervisor(s) to complete. The student will then scan the evaluation forms and submit them via them to the respective quiz. The student who does not receive passing evaluations during the course will work with the supervisor and Liberty University internship faculty to develop a plan to correct any deficits. An “F” in the practicum/internship due to unethical or improper behavior at a site results in expulsion from the Center for Counseling and Family Studies. Quiz: Dispositions Reflection
The student will rate him/herself on the nine dispositions required for this program. The quiz will contain 9 multiple-choice questions and 1 essay question and is limited to 1 hour. The student is allowed 1 attempt to complete the quiz.
