This course is designed to prepare the military studies student in the broader contours of military studies writing, solidify Christian worldview thinking, evaluate historical case studies in light of Christian Just War theory, and enhance career opportunities related to the military and civilian agencies. It is also the principal course through which the department assesses student learning and program effectiveness.

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each discussion. Each thread must be 300-400 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to two other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 250 words.

Presentation Assignments (4)

The student will analyze a strategic, operational, tactical, and Christian Just War theory situation in accordance with a format given earlier in the course.
