Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student will engage in 4 discussions in this course as a professional. Threads must be at least 700 words and each reply must be at least 500 words. In addition to the thread, the student must reply to 2 classmates’ threads. For each thread, the student must support their assertions with at least 3 peer-reviewed sources cited in current APA format. For each reply, the student must incorporate at least 2 peer-reviewed sources cited in current APA format. All sources must have been published within the last 5 years. The student should demonstrate mastery of current APA format and support their claims, premises, and argument with robust interaction within the body of health policy literature. AI Healthcare Policy Recommendation Review Assignment

For this assignment, the student will identify a healthcare frontier that is intersecting with AI. After delimiting their focus for the assignment, the student will research the opportunities and challenges with the integration of AI into this field. Based on the research available, the student will write a 400-500 word policy recommendation for the utilization of AI in this space utilizing at least 5 relevant sources to support their recommendation. The student must include a bibliography formatted in current APA format. (CLO: C, D, E)  

Dissertation Bibliography Assignment

For this assignment, the student is required to build out an annotated bibliography. The purpose of this annotated bibliography is make connections between the student’s planned dissertation topic and the field of health policy. Being able to make connections between policy and a dissertation topic is an important part of a future literature review. This assignment consists of 3 sections. The student must first provide their proposed dissertation topic and methodology that will be used in 200-300 words. The student will then provide an annotated bibliography utilizing at least 10 relevant peer-reviewed sources that have been published within the last 5 years. Each annotation should explain how the resource will be used in the dissertation and must follow current APA formatting. The annotation section must be between 150-200 words. For the final section, the student must reflect on observations that can be made after considering the provided sources and how they relate to the dissertation topic. This section should be 400-500 words. Current APA format must be followed throughout. (CLO: E)

The student will examine the intricate structures and organizations of healthcare markets, focusing on how these dynamics influence access to care, quality of services, and cost control. The student will evaluate how these mechanisms affect access and affordability. Following current APA formatting, the student will write a 5-7-page paper examining these key aspects. The paper must utilize at least 10 sources and include a title page, abstract, introduction, literature review, discussion, limitations, summary, concluding reflections, and a reference page. The student will take 2 quizzes in this course. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes and will allow for 1 attempt. One quiz will contain 11 true/false, 4 multiple-choice, and 1 essay question and will have a 1-hour time limit. The other quiz will contain 15 true/false, 10 multiple-choice, and 1 essay question and will have a 45-minute time limit. (CLO: A, F)
