ETHM 560 Ethnic Music Performance
Course Description
Individual and/or ensemble performance in an ethnic music instrumental or vocal genre. The performance genre will be arranged in cooperation with the Coordinator of Ethnomusicology, who will also approve the instrumental or vocal genre to be studied. A minimum of ten (10) 30-minute lessons, ten (10) 60-minute ensemble rehearsals, or a combination thereof is required each time the student takes this course.

Ethnic Music Performance Plan Assignment
Students will submit a document outlining their pre-approved bi-musicality experience. This assignment is pass/fail with the student earning ten points for the submission of the assignment and zero points if the assignment is not submitted.
Reflection, Journal, and Video Submission Assignment
After completing their bi-musicality experience, the student will submit documents that provide evidence of proficiency. Students will submit a journal of key points from each weekly lesson, a reflection of the impact of their overall experience, and a video that exhibits bi-musicality proficiency.
