Tasks (4)

In this course, Tasks are critical checkpoints at which the doctoral candidate’s manuscript components are thoroughly reviewed to ensure consistency with academic standards and expectations.

Tasks are scored as either complete or not complete. Tasks must be completed sequentially, and doctoral candidates may not submit a new Task before the preceding Task is complete.

  • Task 5: Proposal Defense Presentation Assignment
  • Task 6: Data Collection Begins Assignment
  • Task 7: Evidence of Data Collection Assignment
  • Task 8: Chapter 4 Approval Assignment

The candidate is responsible for planning ahead for the tasks in this course so that the pace or rate of progression required in this course can be maintained. Although the submission links for the tasks are provided in the assigned modules, the candidate is permitted to complete them in succession prior to their assigned due dates and as the candidate and the mentoring chair arrange. The candidate and mentoring chair will collaboratively evaluate the candidate’s progress in the course so that the time needed for the remaining tasks in the candidate’s doctoral journey can be forecasted. (CLO: A, B, C)

Quizzes (8)

The Attendance Task Check-In Quizzes are designed to help the candidate self-report progress in developing the dissertation manuscript. These quizzes serve as a checkpoint for the candidate to reflect on the work accomplished, ensure the candidate is meeting course activity and attendance requirements, and keep the candidate on track. Each quiz contains 2-5 true/false questions, is worth 1 point, and is a self-reported acknowledgement of weekly progress.
